Introduction
The Library is housed in a spacious double storied building with a plinth area of about 2420 square meters, built on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the College of Engineering in 1992. It caters to the needs of about 5000 users comprising Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate students (Regular and Part-time) Doctoral candidates, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.
The Library procures and stocks predominantly engineering books and journals to serve the requirements of all the branches of engineering (i.e. Biomedical, Computer Sciences, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication and Mechanical) and inter disciplinary subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English.
Financial Resources:-
- Grants from UGC under various Five year Plans
- University Normal Budget
- Non-University Fund of the College
- Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)
With the above grants the Library procure a number of current books for all branches of engineering and inter disciplinary subject.

In addition to the above 6,000 books are available in the SC/ST section. Regular SC/ST students are allowed to borrow 6 books. In Integrated Scheme of Book Bank (ISBB) 2741 books are available for regular and part-time course students.

Automation of the Library:
Automation of the Library is completed. All the Library books data has been entered in New Gen Lib Library software which has advance features has been installed.
